To facilitate our start-up software development operations in Cluj, Romania, PGP Corporation is partnering with local experts at RECOGNOS Romania to assist with setting up business infrastructure and to initiate hiring a team of dedicated professionals
PGP Corporation is looking for experienced software quality assurance engineers to join the PGP® Customer Engineering Universal server team. Quality Assurance Engineers work with other QA Engineers and Developers to test and release high quality security software. QA Engineers recreate issues, verify Developers’ fixes, and work to automate the testing environment. These positions focus on Windows, OSX, and Linux testing for PGP Corporation's flagship server products. These positions are located in our offices in Cluj, Romania and report to the PGP Site Manager Descrierea postului:
•Develop and execute test cases on PGP® software.
•Isolate issues down to root cause and create clear concise bug reports.
•Take ownership of software components and become a subject matter expert.
•Have the ability to work with PGP Product Management to help shape the direction of product features.
•Think strategically. Systematically review issues, diagnose their root cause, analyze if your solutions will scale for thousands of users and keys, and determine how reliability can be continually increased.
•Write test documents and technical functional specifications.
•Work collaboratively with Support and Development on bug isolation and verifying fixes.
•Develop automated testing environments. Cerinte:
•Completed or pending Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
•1+ year of software QA experience.
•Comfortable working on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.
•Understanding of SQL (postgresql).
•UNIX shell scripting experience.
•Understanding of networking and network protocols.
•Ability to broadly understand product and company goals to prioritize and rapidly accomplish test cases.
•Understanding of message formats including MIME .
•Familiarity with messaging protocols such as IMAP, POP, and SMTP.
•Should be able to design, write, and execute performance and stress tests and report the results.
•Self motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Desirable Skills:
•Experience with PGP® software and other security products.
•Experience with Aptest, Bugzilla, Lode Runner and other QA Automation tools.
•Understanding of OpenPGP, OpenSSL, OpenSSH and other IETF security protocols.
•Familiarity with MAPI, Exchange Server, and Lotus Notes.
•SOAP/XML/XSLT Experience.
•LDAP and Directory Server Experience.
